| A ruby red wine, directed for those who prefer the strong, tasty very old wine. Matured in oak barrels for 18 months, and left for more than 2 years in the bottles in order to develop the deep aromas of vanilla and the exotic spices which charecterize it. | Maratheftiko wine is produced by “Kolios” family vineyard which is 3,000 feet above sea level. The winery is situated in Statos – Ayios Fotios village in the Paphos district. This superb dry red wine is made from “Maratheftiko” a traditional local grape variety. The grapes are gathered with great care and are specially processed to produce this excellent wine with its elegant aroma an striking purple colour. Serve at room temperature (16 – 18 C) | A European grape variety perfectly adapted to the Cyprus climate conditions. Matured for 18 months in oak barrels. Production of this superb wine is limited and does not exceed 3000 bottles per year. |
